Profile (Brief History) – The Kumasi Abattoir Company Limited was incorporated in 1993 with the mission objective to produce hygienic meat for public consumption. The Company was issued with the Certificate to Commence Business on 22nd September 1994. It started actual operations in July 1999.

Aims and Objectives of KACL
Established under the Company Code 1963, Act 179, Kumasi Abattoir Company Limited (KACL) is authorized to operate as a modern meat production and processing enterprise. Our mandate covers the entire value chain of livestock procurement, slaughtering, processing, and distribution, ensuring that wholesome meat products are available to the public across Ghana.
We procure livestock both locally and internationally, carefully selecting animals for slaughter and processing under strict veterinary supervision. This guarantees that every product we deliver meets the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Our operations focus on producing fresh, wholesome primary cut meat products that are certified safe for public consumption.
