The Kumasi Abattoir Company Limited was incorporated in 1993 with the mission objective to produce hygienic meat for public consumption.  The Company was issued with the Certificate to Commence Business on 22^nd September 1994.  It started actual operations in July 1999.

The Company Code 1963 Act 179 authorizes the Abattoir to undertake the following line of business.

1. To procure livestock from within and outside the country for slaughtering and processing meat.
2.   Production of fresh, wholesome primary cut meat products for public consumption.
3.   Establish market complex to sell meat products in the major cities in Ghana.
4. To establish livestock or cattle ranch to support the Abattoir’s business
